What’s up with conservatives crossing the floor to the liberals?

 I hate the NDP. I hate the Liberal Party of Canada. I don’t much care for the Canadian Conservative Party.  I despise all the Canadian parties.  

I would vote for the Bloc Québécois* if they ran a candidate in Brandon, which they won’t because they are either the dumbest separatist movement in the world, or the cleverest con ever devised to extract benefits from a political federation in human history. I’m thinking the latter.  If the Canadian PM was ever a Bloc member, their con would be revealed.  But then Canadians are the dumbest voters in human history, so what would be the greatest and most clever counter intuitive move in human history could never happen.  Many Canadians make the mistake of taking their votes in federal elections seriously.

Which maybe explains why so-called conservatives are crossing the floor to join the liberal party.  Canada’s political system is a clown show.  The liberals are in fact conservatives in that they are trying to preserve the Canada that developed under the maple leaf flag (as opposed to the red ensign Canada that ended in 1965).  The conservatives, if they had any brains, would be trying to reform the system and even tear it down.  The conservatives should be radicals.  They aren’t.  They are not very distinguishable from the liberals.  So if you’re a pol, you stand to benefit more from being in the liberals.  The carney barkers have no incentive to leave the clown show. It’s their meal ticket.

Brave men are needed to fix Canada.  Are there any?

* If the Alberta independent movement people were clever, they would run candidates in all ridings in Canada.
