Another Cool Valley

This valley is south of Moosomin.  We drove through to get to this local park.

Saskatchewan

Jenny didn’t want to pose by the sign.

Driving there from MB, we ran into some construction: 20 KM of it.  A few instances I swerved to avoid the plastic posts separating the lane being worked on from the lane on which we could still drive.

The #110 heading south

The 110 goes on the east side of Brandon, intersecting with the low road to Shilo, crossing the Assiniboine River, and passing Brandon’s industrial district.

Middleton Avenue North of the #1

It’s a nice day to do something but I don’t know what.

Six hours of teaching before noon; three hours after supper(dinner).  How often, alas, I say supper and then have to correct myself because many don’t know what supper is.

I got the book that I ordered on Amazon.  Later, details.

I had a student who was Cuban but living in Spain.  She told me her family back in Cuba was suffering.  Only three hours of electricity a day.  Her English was amazingly fluent.  Asking her if she had much dialogue practice, she told me that she hadn’t.  She picked up her English watching tv shows, movies, and by singing along with pop songs.

The lesson plan had me ask her a question about famous living people she wanted to meet in person.  She answered Denzel Washington.  She was impressed by what she had seen of him in interviews.  She then asked me the question and I was initially stumped.  I could think of lots of dead people.  I finally said Donald Trump. I said, that while I didn’t suffer from TDS, I would want to tell him he was letting the good side down.

Ten Hours Aho

We dropped off Jenny at the Airport. Ten hours later, she’s still on the page.
