Dumb newbie that I am, I thought the new liturgical year started today (Monday, December 1). So I could have brought my 2025-26 Sunday missal to the mass yesterday where I took part in the rite of acceptance in to the Catchumenate. Oh well. I'll know better for next time.
I got this book of daily Advent reflections for 2025. December 1, the reflection was about Charles De Foucauld, a saint who came to the faith late in life. A better late than neverer. He was suggested as my personal saint by the AI when I queried it with a detailed question about who my personal saint (my patron saint) should be.
