It’s the first day of school near my Mom’s house. The school is a primary/middle school teaching grades 1 to 8. (High School is grade 9 to 12).
My son Tony starts his grade 12 tomorrow.
When I went to school, many years ago, the schools were divided into elementary, junior high, and high school levels: 1-6, 7-9, 10-12 grades. Now it is 1-8, 9-12 grades. China still has the primary, middle, and high school levels.
In China, the beginning and ending of the school days were traffic nightmares as parents dropped off and picked up their charges. I’ll have to see what happens here before I can compare.
There does seem to be a lot of traffic at the primary school near my Mom’s house this morning.
