 Today, no classes. I’m trying to get some.

Jhon?

 Preply told me that I had a student named Jhon who was thinking of booking a trial class with me.  I chatted with him and was left to wonder if this supposed Jhon was playing a trick on me.  He made mistakes that in retrospect seemed done on purpose like the misspelling of John.

I asked the A.I.  It says it is possible but there is a chance that the student was legit.

Do they eat dogs?

 Upon others at his school being told that he is from China, my son Tony has been asked twice if Chinese eat dogs.  Tony tells me that he has responded that some do.  I wonder about the spirit in which these questions are asked.

I have been told by many an adult student in China of their losing a loved pet dog and their suspicion that the dog was taken to be eaten.

Having lived in China so long, I had forgotten that trope. It’s neither here nor there for me.

Hello from Autumn

 It’s my first autumn in Canada since 2003.

Hitler died in 1945. I was born in 1964. 19 year difference.

22 years without experiencing a Canadian autumn.

 On social media, I have chatted with people from Iran, Jordan, El Salvador, Columbia, Ukraine, Anhui, Chengdu, Toronto, Edmonton, Vancouver, Harbin, Newfoundland,Winnipeg, to name but a few.

I’ll take my son to school.

I’ll take my Mom to get her hair cut.

I’ll teach two online classes.

This is all provisional.  Something will happen to screw up the works.
