Below are observations I made and thoughts that occurred to me during my visit to Gladstone, Manitoba.
This place is nice, but too far from Brandon. A 70 minute drive. I took the scenic route, going north on the #10 and then east on the #16.
Could have been inside but there was no cell reception. So, I’m was outside and I got to watch long trains go by.
Do they stick an engine in the middle for more pulling power? Or is it being dragged.
Gladstone: where locals are glad to be stoned?
People from Gladstone are called Gladstoners?
Two Filipino clerks at the Co-op.
Sunny on Wednesday. Forecast says snow on Friday. What an I going to do.
I see a Paris Cafe serving Chinese and Canadian food and the Gladstone Supermarket and the Gladstone Bakery and Eatery.
Someone liked the red Expos hat I was wearing.
On the too long of a drive here, I saw wide loads on the highway, including a house being moved
I see a bunch of large farm vehicles drive past the Co-op I am stationed at.
Co-op has a monopoly in this town. There is a hardware store. a food store and a convenience store.
Jesus & Mary! Sustain me!
I find myself wishing I could do 6:00 to 8:00 AM online classes Monday to Friday
Four young ladies, slim but with pointy noses.
Hard to build rapport with people when you’re out of doors.
Bored, I asked Ray Pero if he liked Chicken Loaf. He said he did.
A man whom I canvassed told me had MS.
I get a lot of not-today’s.
I had one long conversation today. It got around to how so many people are struggling these days.
