Thoughts and observations from my second day in Gladstone.
A lot of nice friendly people. I hope to meet the fellow from yesterday who grabbed my ear. He said he lived by himself and seemed like he needed someone with whom to talk
I had Tim’s and checked out the local Thrift shop. So I can say I had Tim’s in Gladstone and Qongching this year.
Used my IPhone six to make a video essay of my drive here.
I’m inside. Too cold.
The track in front of the co-op is for both CN and CP trains. A local told me they are super long these days so the engine in the middle is not being pulled.
Jets Hat. Quilt Hat. Co-op Hat. Yellow Vest.
Camo hat. Air Jordan Hat, Vans Hoodie. Pom Pom Toque. Pirates Hat. Canada Hats. Canada not for sale hat. Leafs Hat. Newfoundland Hat.
Local school kids I see. Uggh!
People look vaguely familiar. Because I saw them before or because they look of a particular type?
It started raining outside. Good thang, I’m indoors.
It’s snowing! It’s not sticking on the ground.
An old couple. I had to ask. They were married 59 years. As a bonus, the husband told me he was 89 years old.
This co-op sells liquor mart gift cards. That doesn’t compute. Isn’t that encouraging a person’s worst impulses?
The snow is falling but it is not landing.
