I attended the Festival of Joy that was put on by the Saint Augustine Church here in Brandon. I mingled and meet a lot of interesting people. Some of them were believers that I had read about and seen on the internet but had never met in person till yesterday. The attendees were very multi-cultural. I tried to take my son to it but met with stiff resistance. The most poignant moment of the day for me was having my intentions prayed for by Father Oliver and several others.
It's Sunday. I'll attend a 19:00 mass tonight. I like the fact that they hold three masses at the church on a Sunday. Sunday mornings will be hard for me because I have a standing date now to have beer & smokes on Saturday night with my neighbor who is from Beijing and whose wife is from Nantong, a city in Jiangu which I was able to visit earlier this year.
