On the way back from Deloraine

 My son didn’t accompany today (Sunday), so I didn’t take any driving photos.  I did stop on Highway 23 to record this video:

I put in my subtitles because I uploaded it to a couple Chinese video platforms. (This video already has gotten over 1400 views in China.  On YouTube: 4!)

Later, on the #10, I stopped briefly in the Souris River Valley to look the old bridge which can be seen from the #10.

I would have spent more time there but it was raining.  As well, a sign said you could cross the bridge at your own risk.  I didn’t chance it.

 I’m in D again for another fundraising shift.

It has begun to rain.  Probably won’t get to take a video in a field.

A lot of repeat customers at the Co-op.  A lot of I donated yesterday said to me.

Leaving the church, I ran into a student who was in an EAL class I was sub-teaching.  I fist pumped the young gentleman and in turn his father.

This town was built in the midst of flat.

 It is not so busy at the Co-op I’m working at.  I’ve read Trollope, Merton and NGD:

NGD, as always, nails it.

Up early this morning.  I’ve wished a good morning to quite a few people.

I have three online classes and a fundraising shift in Deloraine.

Friday Mass

 I got there a little early and there was a funeral (I pray for the repose of that soul). So I walked downtown.

It was too hot.

Back at Staug, I saw this:

I then attended my intention Mass.

Thanks to my neighbors, the Miles, for this.

I am now doing adoration.

And then my first confession.

It’s Chilly in Chile

 I was talking online with a student in Santiago Chile where it is Autumn.  The temperature there was four degrees.

I never got around to asking him if Chili was a popular dish in Chile.

Fourteen Years Ago

 

To mark the 14th anniversary of my father’s death, we visited his grave this evening.  We laid the flowers. I sprinkled some holy water on the stone.

Mom would have joined us but it was too hot.
