A student needed help with a citizenship test and so I had to peruse a copy of the citizenship textbook published by the federal government. Naturally, I was annoyed. The pamphlet tries to immediately bring a reader’s attention to Canada’s commitment to environmentalism — not to Canada’s natural beauty but to an ideology. Disheartening!
